Kraven the Hunter (Sergei Kravinoff) is one of Spider-Man's most enduring and dangerous adversaries, first appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #15 (1964).
Unlike typical villains driven by greed or world domination, Kraven is defined by a strict, obsessed code of honour: he views Spider-Man as the ultimate prey, and defeating him using his bare hands or basic weapons is the only way to prove he is the world's greatest hunter.
