Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is an R-rated parody of Western cartoons about two foul-mouthed fallen angels who hunt ghosts using their lingerie as weapons to buy their way back into Heaven. Even though it looks like an American cartoon (drawing inspiration from shows like The Powerpuff Girls and Drawn Together), it is anime created in Japan by Studio Gainax (the same studio behind Evangelion).
Stocking is a snarky, goth fallen angel obsessed with sweets. She transforms her stockings into twin katanas (Stripes) to slice through ghosts.
