Sypha Belnades (also known as Syfa Velnumdes, Cipher Fernandez or Cipher Vernades) is a recurring character in the Castlevania series. She is a witch from the region of Wallachia, where she initially had to conceal her identity by posing as a man in order to escape the witch trials of the time.
